What are we really serving? Are we serving the gods of pleasure and happiness, or are we serving the true and living God? That's not to say that serving God does not give you pleasure and happiness, it does. Because that's the only thing in life that truly matters. You can go your entire life, and serve yourself for all that time, and not be truly happy inside. There will always be this dull emptiness inside, unless you fill it with God. The latest xbox game, or the newest computer, or ____, fill in the blank, it can never make you truly, truly happy. Only God can.
Am I living for the pleasures and attraction of this life, or am I waiting for eternal rewards that can never fade away?
