And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Gal 6:9 (NKJV)
Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.
2 Cor 12:12 (NKJV)
Patience, that's what it's all about. You just have to learn to be patient as a Christian, or even as a non- Christian, or you'll never make it in life. It may seem to us that Paul was bragging on himself. But I really don't think that's what he was trying to do. He was simply telling the church(s) in Corinth that perseverance and patience is something key to your life. If you're not patient, you might possibly never be able to win someone to the Lord. Because some people don't come to know the Lord, snap, just like that. In fact, I would say that most of them don't. It might take some other people witnessing to that soul as well.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
1 Cor 3:6 (NKJV)
This is not to say we need to sit back in our chairs and do nothing. Far from it. But we need to rely on God. If someone doesn't act like they want to know God, then keep praying for them, and be patient. Because you can't bring them to God yourself. It's the Holy Spirit that does the drawing of men's hearts.
Am I relying on my own strength and not being patient and trusting God?
