Joshua 10 The Sun Stands Still

Joshua 10- The Sun Stands Still

Adoni-Zedek, the king of Jerusalem, had heard of the Israelites' capture and defeat of AI, and was beside himself with fear. He decided to join himself together with the other kings in that area, in hopes of Israel's demise. They decided to attack Gibeon, the city that the Israelites' had foolishly decided to not destroy. So, the men of Gibeon sent for Israel to come and help them. And the Lord told Joshua to not be afraid, and that all the kings' armies would be given into their hand. And so that Israel would have enough time to defeat their enemies that day, God made the sun stand still. After the Israelites were done slaughtering their enemies, the sun, (or the earth), resumed its normal rotation. And this time, (unlike the first attack on AI), there were no enemy survivors.

Do I have godly friends in my life? Like the Gibeonites had?

Have I thanked them for being there for me?
