Trusting and Knowing God 7/1/09

20 Now what more can David say to You? For You, Lord God, know Your servant.

21 For Your word's sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them.

22 Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You

2 Sam 7:20-22 (NKJV)

As David knew, God knows everything about us. He knew all about us before we were just a dot in our mother's womb. He knew all the plans, thoughts, and desires that we would have throughout our entire life. He, God of the universe, Maker of all, desired to have a wonderful relationship with us if we choose to have one with Him. But it isn't enough to want or to choose to have a relationship with God, as it is to believe and put your trust in Him.

I'm not specifically talking about salvation. I'm talking about a daily spiritual battle where we have to choose who we're going to follow. Will we follow the own foolish dictates of our heart? Or will we trust God?
