He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.

Prov 21:26 (NKJV)

Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease!

Prov 23:4 (NKJV)

This first verse is saying that the lazy man is greedy all day long. He is constantly looking and longing for something that he can not have. Something that he most likely does not need. Something that he could maybe have if he actually worked for. But the righteous gives and does not spare, he does not care if he gives until he has nothing left, (for himself or for others).

Many people work themselves to death trying to be rich, or in order to become even more prosperous than they already are. But this verse says to not overwork yourself in order to be loaded. We should instead rely on the Lord for our needs.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
