Grace Greater Than Our Sin 7/20/09

Unless the Lord had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence.

If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

Psalms 94:17-19 (NKJV)

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

Phil 3:12-15 (NKJV)

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Prov 4:18 (NKJV)

Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence.

Have you ever felt that there was something weighing you down so much that you couldn't do anything?

That was the way David felt, before the Lord as he says, held him up, so that he could not slip. If you have done something that you feel could never be forgiven, remember that God forgives all. All people and all sin. Because there is grace greater than our sin.

"Lord, help me to always to be right with you. Help me never to do anything that would put up a wall between You and me. And when I do fall, Lord, hold me up, and forgive me. Amen."
